10/13/09: 24 Themes Project.

Hi DeviantART! Here I am with my first Journal. Everyone's doing it, and I seemed to be the only one without one :).

A couple days ago I decided to start doing more sketches regularly... and this thought resulted in what I called the 24 Themes Project, or 24TP for short. This is simply a series of sketches of 24 different themes to improve my drawings. You might wonder why I chose 24 themes, and not 10 themes, or 50 themes, or 367 themese... lol. The reason being that my birthday is on a 24th, and henceforth, 24 is my favorite number :3... cliche eh?

Since I'm so uncreative to come up with my own 24 themes, I asked my friends to help me come up with ideas. After what seemed like a contest of themes... I finally figured out the 24 that I wanted to do:

1. Sunflowers
2. Mercury - COMPLETED
3. Household Appliances - COMPLETED
4. Candles
5. Make Up
6. Shoes
7. Ribbons
8. Baseball
9. Leaves
10. Sea Shells
11. Breakfast
12. Mushrooms
13. Sunglasses
14. Trees
15. Cell Phones
16. Ballet
17. Cooking
18. Books
19. Water
20. Balloons
21. Gossip
22. Oranges
23. Birds
24. Magic - COMPLETED

Yes! Three are complete, and I seem to have a good pace--one daily--hopefully I'll keep up.

After I finish sketching all 24 drawings I will do their linearts in Paint Tool Sai (as a SAI practice as well), and then do a simple coloring in photoshop. I'll be surprised if I'm done by the end of the year actually...
